I’ve worked on a dozen residences, but nothing was more of a challenge than the house I designed and built for myself. Architects can be our own worst clients. I changed this design multiple times before forcing myself to pull the permit. Five years in the making, I used all of my life skills to create this farm influenced piece of architecture.

Houses are so personal and come with a complicated set of rules that take months to understand. Some of the residences that I have worked on were never completed. Lives that did not outlast the dreams and dreams that were changed by circumstance. Some of these homes were so private that owners requested that no photo’s were taken of the completed buildings.
