ROSSETTI teamed with Barton Malow to create the winning design for this design build arena. Notre Dame is an iconic campus where the bar for excellence is set high. Every building on this campus is required to meet a higher level of specification dictated by the university. Everything about this project, from the first owner meetings to the lavish dedication ceremony at the end, was an unbeatable experience. This building brought together some of the best designers and technical staff ROSSETTI has and created a building that will last beyond our lifetime.

This 5,000 seat arena is the home of the Fighting Irish and many of it’s interior finishes pay homage to the stylings of an Irish Pub. This facility has 2 sheets of ice, using the second sheet for community skating events. There is a skate rental center on the way to the guest locker rooms and themed fan amenities at all levels.

The player amenities are a step above any, offering professional level shooting stations, stick prep room, locker rooms, training rooms, hot and cold recovery spas and an unbelievable weight room. The building also provides office space for everyone related to the UND hockey program. From entry to exits, from the truss design to the ice system design, this is a cathedral for hockey.
